Duxford Girl

I seriously considered taking a few lessons while on my ski trip but in the end I just watched experienced skiers from the lifts or followed them down the slopes and did what they did. Plus, I think I developed a little teaching technique of my own:

When I was a kid, that age range between five and puberty when every new experience is really cool, I loved to ride the gondolas in the mountains.

Well, it's the first week of December and rather than baking cookies, buying and wrapping gifts or decorating anything I'm in the mountains skiing, photographing and writing.

I have nothing creative of my own to write. Probably because all I do of late is work, exercise and sleep. So instead I'll post the lyrics to Kathleen Edwards' new song because I like them.

This is a kind of xmas song but I usually start listening to it at this time of year when I know there's a long and miserable winter ahead.

So, I've been getting asked this question a lot lately:

“How come you're not running in the Federal election?”

Well, we got one last burst of nice weather this week and I was fortunate enough to get out for a couple of nice walks.

Armed with my camera I was able to catch the change of the season (dreaming of Louise the whole time, I assure you). The results can be viewed on the right in the albums section:

I named this section of my blog “Sporty Spice” after being dubbed so by a co-worker one night when I rode my bike to work.
