Duxford Girl

Most of the things that I wanted to do around the house before leaving is done but I'm not going to finish everything. Sigh. My anal-retentavness knows no bounds.

I've not had the most productive of days as I've had a major allergy flare-up. Now I'm just sleepy from too many antihistamines. I suppose, in the end, it doesn't really matter or not, whether my living room is clean while I'm gone. Although the original plan was to head west and start at Mile 0 in Victoria, the flooding in BC has caused the first change to our plan. On Saturday we will head out to Indian Head and then travel to Winnipeg on Dominion Day.

Evil Scientist and I already managed to be standing in the middle of Costco arguing over Swifter cloths. This may not bode well for an entire month spent in a 12-foot trailer.

I picked up yet another camera bag in the high hopes that this one will meet my needs better than the other 17 I've tried. Not sure why I've had such an issue with camera bags but I've had my SLR for four years and I've yet to find a bag that works for travelling. This one is a sling-pack that's not too big but has room for everything I might need while touring. Plus it has its own rain gear.

I'm looking forward to being in TO again since I had such a great time in May. Say what you will, I like the city of TO and I can't wait to see Candice again.

Simon seems excited. He loves the trailer and a whole month with daddy is pure awesomeness for him. We're all looking forward to seeing parts of the world we've never seen before and visiting old favourites like Schwartz's in Montreal.
