Sporty Spice Another miserable day. Here's the workout that I was supposed to do:

http://www.shape.com/fitness/sports/training_triathlon_week_2_sunday

I had every intention of riding my bike to the Lido for brunch but with the rain coming down I had the rather pressing problem of none of my rain gear fitting. Combine that with the grey weather and that was the beginning of the depressive spiral into not exercising. I had brunch at the Lido with some friends. It wasn't very busy because it was Mother's Day. A friend of mine bought me a lovely herb garden to support my new love of cooking. It looks and smells great in my kitchen.

After brunch I went to a cycle shop to see if I could find any gear on sale that could tide me over for the next couple of months. All the women's stuff was too small and the men's too big (at least where shorts are concerned, obviously my wide hip issues haven't improved since having a baby). More self-loathing.

I stopped at the store to pick up a few things for dinner, went home, cooked and by the time I finished, I was done for the day. Right until the point that I was clearing the dishes I really thought that I was going to make it out for a bike ride but in the end I just didn't have the emotional stores. Plus, it had started raining again.

My week is not looking up for sticking to this plan until at least Tuesday. Sometimes life gets in the way of my best fitness intentions. I'll make up for the days I missed by doing more brick training this week if I have to and maybe...just maybe...spring will actually show up this week.
