Flying I've not written much about flying lately as I've gone through a rather frustrating couple of months. I've had six different instructors in the last six months and I'm finding that trying to schedule flights in between shifts at my job is sometimes an impossible task.
There's light at the end tunnel though, (presumably not the lights of a fully loaded AC4400). I finally finished all of my ground school and my current instructor is here until the summer.

The last flight I had was one of the best I've ever flown and I can't wait to get another flight in. Of course, the latest challenge is that the days are much shorter for those of us still in Sundowner Squadron.

A little while ago, I was complaining about the boredom I feel when doing my walk-around to an officer at my unit that's a commercial airline pilot. He said that he didn't see it that way and that he enjoyed the calm of the walk-around. After that conversation, I started to arrive earlier to my lessons to take advantage of the “calm”. Because of this extra time, I occasionally get to see some pretty interesting things wandering around on the taxi-ways. The next series of pictures are of one of the Russian Antonovs as it passed by my flight school several weeks ago.
