Back on track today and doing Thursday's brick workout:

Because of time constraints I just rode around the paths in the park West of our house. This is beneficial as once finished with the bike ride I can quickly park my bike in the garage and get on with the run giving me yet another taste of transition. I wore my running shoes to ride my bike this time so there was no shoe change to be bothered about. Since I don't have a proper racing bike with clip-on shoes there's really no need to have a shoe change between the bike ride and the run. The downside of sticking close to the house is looking like an idiot for 25 minutes as I do several tiny laps around a path not really meant for bikes. Ideally, I'd rather drive somewhere to get on the bike paths. However, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, ideal or not.

I made a quick dinner of two small steaks, baked potatoes with sautéed shallots and garlic and a simple salad. Nothing special but at least home-cooked. I also made a smoothie out of strawberries, milk, OJ and honey. The strawberries were about to turn so the smoothie was one of those things born of necessity.
