As most of you have probably guessed, I've started Junior's musical training early. Being the pregnant one means that I get a leg up on what the boy listens to. For instance, I'm hoping to direct him away from crap like Vangelis in favour of as many Canadian bands as possible. His “classical” training will also include military music. I'm hoping he'll be born to the strains of the RAF March Past. It's only a question of what version to use. Obviously, pipe music will also be a part of this (my neighbours will love it someday, I'm sure).

Tonight we were reviewing various You Tube videos, live performances and covers of the greatest band ever, Blue Rodeo. I was pointing out to the little guy that Bad Timing is quite possibly the most perfect folk song ever written. If he's really lucky, he'll never understand why.
