Wednesday was the nicest day we saw for weather. I don't think I've ever been out to Victoria at this time of year when I've been this cold. Although, taking a look at our webcam, it was still better than home. We toured some of our favourite spots including The Undersea Gardens, Miniature Land and The Wax Museum. All you royalists our there will be happy to know that Prince William is old enough to have his own wax figure in Victoria now. Poor Prince Harry will just have to wait but I'm sure both princes have multiple figures at the London Wax Museum.

At 3:00 PM we walked to The Empress for afternoon tea. It was, as usual, lovely. Afterwards, I made the mistake of stopping by the gift shop. This is where my resolve from last year to stop collecting things badly derailed. I succumbed to a nice tea set including 2 place settings, a tea pot with creamer and sugar bowl, completed with a two-tiered platter. That would have been bad enough but I asked about the pattern used for afternoon tea and found that it was nowhere near as pricey as I had anticipated. I started my collection with the 3-tiered platter that has gone out of production (on sale too). I'm going to slowly build up the pattern (the shop-keep told me the best times of the year to check for sales).

Because it was so sunny, we went for a long walk along the harbour, both before and after dinner. Unfortunately, the damp weather has given me a rather nasty sore throat.

I've added some more photos to the Spring Break Album:
