Well, it's the first week of December and rather than baking cookies, buying and wrapping gifts or decorating anything I'm in the mountains skiing, photographing and writing. I'd feel guilty but it's hard to concentrate with the bubbles on my Jacuzzi tub going.

This morning I got up and went for a jog in a foot of snow. I know, I used to hate people like that too but it was incredibly pretty. I've never seen Banff so quiet. Banff Avenue was all but deserted, the snow was still falling and all the xmas lights were on. Of course I didn't have the bloody camera while on my run.

It was sunny today in that way it is at this time of year so that it's still rather dark even when it's bright. I couldn't help but pull over while travelling to and from Louise and snap some pictures of Rundle.

After taking a few shots this morning, I got back in my truck, (oh, sorry. I meant to say SUV), pulled back onto the #1 and realized that if I'd waited just a few more seconds I would have had a fully-loaded freight in the shot. I didn't even hear it coming. Oh well, Nicholas Morant, I'm not.
