Why the girlie scream? Well, I knew that the new Indiana Jones film was premièring this summer so I was reading all the hype in the Friday edition of the Herald. In the course of reading a few critics' work I discovered that there's also a new X-Files coming out this summer.
WHY WASN'T I INFORMED! I knew that shift work was taking the piss out of me on a regular basis but this is a sure sign that I've been living in a cave.
By the way, I don't have much use for critics, film or otherwise. I find that while they produce nothing it's all too easy for them to find fault in other people's work. The best critique the Herald published was written by the child of one of their regular entertainment staff. The kid's bit started out like this “This was the best movie I've ever seen!”
I like that kid, hire him on full time.
