This week the Lido is all decked out in Halloween splendor. There's a funky tree with glowing LEDs. Jessica regaled me with tales of her recent vacation. She toured the province in day trips and saw all the weirdness that Southern Alberta has to offer. There is a fondness for Turner Diamond Black Valley (none of us can ever get which is which so we just blended the two names together). It has great restaurants and a surprisingly good coffee culture. Another hot topic was that of the store Old Navy “home of the $4 t-shirt”. We had both recently (although on separate occasions) gone to the store and walked out with huge inexpensive bags of loot.

I was still recovering from certain debauchery I had committed on Friday. After passing our final exam, myself and the rest of my RTC class went out to celebrate. It was a night of epic binge drinking and many tales were told and secrets revealed. Jessica and I drifted into the topic of bar tabs and the best places to get free drinks. My favourite, obviously, is that of the mess dinner where wine flows freely and drunken officers are always buying after dinner. Jen prefers drunken artists and professors to drunken officers.

Following was more conversation about men and why there is no logic where they are concerned.
