I feel smarter already I trekked out to Oxford today. Buses to the famed school leave every ten minutes from Notting Hill Gate so it was an easy journey to make. I took a double-decked coach. Greyhound should invest in a few of these.

Oxford is really a fantastic place to just sort of walk around. You can’t turn a corner without seeing some fabulous piece of architecture. Like Cambridge, it is a uni town and the main mode of transport seems to be the bicycle. Every wall, fence and building has bicycles leaned against it.

I went to the Natural History museum that is this great place with all sorts of queer stuff in jars to look at. In the same building is also an anthropological collection the name of which escapes me completely (help me out here Jen, you’ve been there, you told me about it).

I had lunch in The Old Tom pub and mostly I enjoyed walking around in the sunshine. I decided to pick up a campus hoodie but I didn’t want to get one that just said Oxford so I choose Wadham College. I’ll let you keen Wikipedia users figure that one out. I also got the scarf from that college with colours and crest on it.
